Breast/body-feeding education & support!

Heather Ward BD, PD, CLE, CCE,

candidate IBCLC

(she/her)

I have been supporting new families since 2003 in numerous capacities including as a birth & postpartum doula and teaching childbirth, baby care and breast/body-feeding classes.

I am passionate about helping expectant families have an empowering birthing, postpartum and breast/body feeding experience.

I live in Vancouver with my husband and faithful old Labrador. My amazing and thriving children have grown and flown.

I love learning new things and spending time in nature. I spend my spare time hiking or camping in the trees, at the beach, gardening, sewing or reading from my huge pile of books.

I offer multiple services to educate, empower, and support people in their childbearing years.

Chelsea Witter BS

Prior to having kids, I worked as a biochemist. With the transition to parenthood, I discovered a passion for supporting families and building community. I had also experienced numerous struggles with breastfeeding and decided to switch my career to family and lactation support. I have recently completed the OHSU-PSU program for human lactation and will be sitting for the IBCLC exam fall of 2026.

I have supported families with lactation since 2019, even managing to hold peer support groups that followed social distancing guidelines during the pandemic.

I have been a board member of SW WA Heathy family coalition as well as a board member of the Ridgefield Garden Club since 2025

I have two boys that 5 and 7 years old. As a family, we enjoy movie nights, game nights, back yard camp outs, looking for bugs, and jumping in puddles. In my free time, I enjoy growing edible plants and cooking nutritious meals using my garden produce.

I am a pacific north west native and currently reside in Ridgefield.

For more than 25 years, I have had the privilege of supporting families through life’s most meaningful transitions. My professional journey began as a birth and postpartum Doula before pursuing a career as a Registered Nurse. I later advanced my education to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), blending my lifelong passion for maternal-child health with clinical expertise and a warm, supportive approach to care. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting your unique journey.
